Under the agreement, Novelis will supply specialized, aerospace-grade aluminum from its facilities in Koblenz, Germany, and Zhenjiang, China, to several thyssenkrupp Aerospace key markets in Europe and Asia. The contract provides for the ongoing supply of premium, aircraft-grade aluminum plates and sheets from Novelis to thyssenkrupp Aerospace, reinforcing Novelis' strategic importance as a supplier of innovative aluminum products for the aerospace sector.
thyssenkrupp AT.PRO tec, a subsidiary of thyssenkrupp Materials Services, in collaboration with consortium partners, has secured a €1.8 million research grant from the European Union's Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS). thyssenkrupp Aerospace and SKF have signed a two-year contract extension to their existing partnership for the supply of steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum and copper to SKF’s facility in Lons le Saunier, France. thyssenkrupp Aerospace, part of thyssenkrupp Materials Services, one of the world’s leading mill-independent materials distribution and service providers, is also providing a full range of services designed to improve supply chain resilience and transparency to support SKF’s expansion plans.
These services, which were developed tailormade to the customer’s needs and in close collaboration with a team from SKF, include logistics and sourcing services, such as quality inspection, and delivery management of finished materials.
